An even more unusual "tow story"...
Will Pederson thinks its ideal to use the P38 as a tow
vehicle! The question is, does he ride the bike to get to the river to
kayak, or paddle the kayak to get to the road to ride the bike?

The Lightning T-38 Racing Tandem
Never one to sit on his accomplishments, Tim designed a unique
back-to-back racing tandem and raced it for a few years. This is one of the
lightest, most compact tandems ever built and it has the advantage of allowing
the rear rider (called the "stoker" in tandem-speak) an unobstructed view. This
bike is not in production currently, but you can see a video clip of it on our Cyber Test Ride page.

Lee Emmett
Just a regular guy who is in it for the exercise. I used to own a hybrid bike
and always came home with numb hands and a sore bottom and sometimes numbness in
the crotch area. Love the Phantom and pass everybody when coasting down hills
and can keep up on the flats, not quite as good on the hills (up) but have been
able to climb any hill I've encountered so far. Met some people with the
standard Phantom handlebars and will say I like my drop bars (custom installed
by the Wheel Bicycle Shop in Tulsa, OK ) much better than the standards.

Sue Yokum
All you guys better watch out, Sue is coming!! This lady is hardcore,
read her latest exploit:
"Here I am at Death Valley just about a week ago. We rode about 325 miles,
climbed over 18,000 feet in 5 days and the P-38 performed beautifully. It is
stable going on fast down hills, on the steep up hills I was sometimes wobbly
but contribute some of that to my inexperience on the bike and not have ridden
at all this year and testing myself on difficult conditions even for the end of
the year. ......Oh, ya, we saw a Phantom jet while riding along early onoe
morning......that was cool. At onoe point it turned and it was completely
invisible......amazing plane."
