Lightning as a Tow Vehicle?

The Burley trailers can be used "stock" with the the Phantom (more info).

A great value for this genre of bikes! - D.S.

An even more unusual "tow story"...

Will Pederson thinks its ideal to use the P38 as a tow vehicle! The question is, does he ride the bike to get to the river to kayak, or paddle the kayak to get to the road to ride the bike?

The Lightning T-38 Racing Tandem

Never one to sit on his accomplishments, Tim designed a unique back-to-back racing tandem and raced it for a few years. This is one of the lightest, most compact tandems ever built and it has the advantage of allowing the rear rider (called the "stoker" in tandem-speak) an unobstructed view. This bike is not in production currently, but you can see a video clip of it on our Cyber Test Ride page.

Lee Emmett

Just a regular guy who is in it for the exercise. I used to own a hybrid bike and always came home with numb hands and a sore bottom and sometimes numbness in the crotch area. Love the Phantom and pass everybody when coasting down hills and can keep up on the flats, not quite as good on the hills (up) but have been able to climb any hill I've encountered so far. Met some people with the standard Phantom handlebars and will say I like my drop bars (custom installed by the Wheel Bicycle Shop in Tulsa, OK ) much better than the standards.
