Lightning riders
Jeff Carter
I finished my first Triple Bypass bike ride on my Lightning P-38 last Saturday. 120 miles with over 10,000 feet of elevation gain. (See triplebypass.org.) There were 3,500 riders but only 2 of us were riding recumbents.
162.5 miles with a total of 13,670 feet of elevation gain. Rode my Lightning P-38 bike from my house on the plains SE of Denver, across town, through the foothills, to the highest paved road in North America, to the top of Mt Evans (14,130 feet) — and back yesterday. Started hailing on top, so not a lot of photos.
They cancelled the Triple Bypass ride last weekend, but I thought you might like this photo from a training ride.
